Karimnagar: Secretary of Home Department and DGP of Vigilance and Enforcement Rajiv Trivedi took out a cycle rally from Hyderabad to Karimnagar to educate people about cashless transactions.
Rajiv Trivedi, along with his two sons, reached Karimnagar town in the afternoon by travelling 175 km. Students of Vageshwari, Jyothismathi and Sree Chaitanya engineering colleges welcomed the senior IPS officer. He was given warm welcome at Alugunu chowk by school students.
Later, he reached the police headquarters in a rally where he participated in an awareness programme on cashless transactions organised by the Vigilance and Enforcement Department.
Speaking on the occasion, with a view to educate people about the benefits of cashless transaction, he took out cycle yatra.
Asking people not to get scared, he said that it was possible to put an end to corruption with cashless transaction and asked the youth to play an active role in educating the people about digital transactions.
