CS assures clarity on demands of Telangana Gazetted Officers


Hyderabad: The Telangana Gazetted Officers Association on Tuesday urged the State government to take action on requests for transfers of government officials. A delegation of Association representatives led by MLA V Srinivas Goud met Chief Secretary S K Joshi at the Secretariat and sought immediate action on requests for spouse transfers, promotions to government staff who have completed two years of service and also announce the new Pay Revision Commission.

Joshi, according to TGOA, assured them that he would get back within ten days on issues that are under his purview. On other issues, the Chief Secretary informed the Association and Goud that he would take them to the notice of the Chief Minister for further instructions and guidance and provide clarity on the issues to the Association.

Among the demands placed by the Association before the Chief Secretary was bringing government staff of Telangana origin currently working in Andhra Pradesh and cancellation of the Contributory Pension Scheme. Those who met the Chief Secretary included TGOA president Mamatha, general secretary Satyanarayana, TGOA city unit president G Venkateswarulu, the Secretariat unit president Raj Kumar Gupta and office-bearers Ravinder Kumar, Krishnamurthy, Jagan Mohan and Hasan.
