Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday announced that the department was ready to construct as many ESI hospitals as required in the Telangana State provided the State government allots land for the purpose.
Speaking to media persons here he said the newly planned hospitals would be ten-bedded and later upgraded accordingly. Adding this, the Minister said the dispensary hospitals would also cater to the needs of diagnostic requirements of employees.
“Soon, ESI facility would be implemented for the employees of unorganised sector,” Dattatreya assured.
Talking about social security for contract employees, the Minister said all contract employees, including Aganwadi workers and Aasha workers would be brought under ESI facility.
Replaying to a question, Dattatreya said people had been best utilising the cashless transactions and appreciating the Prime Minister efforts in this regard.
Dattatreya, along with State Ministers Naini Narshimha Reddy (Home), P Mahender Reddy (Transport) and MLC N Ramchender Rao inaugurated ESIC model Dispensary cum Diagnostic centre at Jeedimetla.
