CM KCR condoles death of former MLA Krishna Reddy


Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his grief over the death of Kalwakurthy former MLA Edma Krishna Reddy who passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday, after a prolonged illness. He was 84.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said Krishna Reddy gained people’s affection as a popular leader through his service activities and social awareness. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the former legislator and offered prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Krishna Reddy served twice as a MLA from Kalwakurthy Assembly constituency. He won as an independent candidate in 1994 elections for the first time and later, he contested from Congress party in 2004 elections.

The Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, the Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Ministers KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, A Indra Karan Reddy, V Srinivas Goud, Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar and several others expressed their condolences. They all recalled the yeomen services of Krishna Reddy to the people of the State especially Kalwakurthy constituency.
