Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Natco Pharma Limited donated a vehicle to Hare Krishna Foundation (HKF), Hyderabad, on Tuesday. The vehicle was specifically donated by Natco Pharma to spread awareness on Akshaya Patra scheme, the mid-day meal scheme for school children managed by the HKF.

In a special ceremony on Tuesday at Swayumbhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Banjara Hills, managing director, Natco Pharma, Rajeev Nannapaneni handed over the vehicle to president of Akshaya Patra Foundation, Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa in the presence of other officials.

Applauding the work of the Foundation, he assured continuing support for the cause of Akshaya Patra in the future. Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa while thanking the gesture said the vehicle would go a long way in realising the target of feeding five million children by 2020.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation kitchens are supporting and bringing more underprivileged children to schools for education in Telangana. At present, the Foundation is serving meals in 880 schools to 1,39,891 children across six districts of Telangana.
