CBI raids IAS officer B Chandrakala’s premises


Hyderabad/Karimnagar: Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer B Chandrakala, whose premises were searched by officials of the CBI along with other prominent persons in connection with an illegal sand mining case, studied BA in Geography from Osmania University. The officer also pursued a course from Koti Women’s College.

Hailing from the Fertilizer City in Ramagundam of Karimnagar, Chandrakala is popular on social media for her alleged anti-corruption crusade. Her family owned a rice mill at Gowliwada in Ramagundam but the same is not operational now. Her mother stays at Fertilizer City.

Meanwhile, family members of B Chandrakala expressed shocked about the raids on her properties in different places.

Though raids were not carried out in the houses of her family members in Karimnagar district, the news spread as a wild fire in the district.

Mother of the IAS officer, Laxmi, said she did not know about the case against her daughter and added that she got to know about it only today.
