Hyderabad: City-based ByteForce has developed a video analytics tool that will help companies improve their safety practices as well as reduce wastage of raw materials and spillages. It has successfully established the proof of concept and is now pitching its solutions to manufacturing, pharma and construction companies in India and a few international markets as well, according to its Co-Founder and Project Manager B Rambabu.
“Security gear like vests and helmets are mandatory at some workplaces like construction sites and manufacturing units. However, it is difficult for the supervisors to keep a tab at all times. Our solution will search and identify people not complying with safety norms. It will send alerts to the top management for corrective actions,” he said.
The tools use artificial learning to improve the outcome of its predictions. The accuracy now is about 70 per cent. “Non-adherence of safety practices increase the risks of injury. There can be serious financial ramifications for the facility involved including costs to treat the injured, cleaning up, workers’ compensation and potential liability,” he said.
The T-Hub incubated company has showcased its solution to construction companies in Dubai.
Its solutions include computer deployment, CCTVs, AI algorithm that it developed, mobile apps and alerts. The company also charges for the hardware, software and maintenance. It provides video analytics and recommendations to the company management.
“Our solutions will find a use in pharma, chemical, construction, oil rigs and manufacturing units,” he said adding that it is now seeking to raise about Rs 2 crore to expand.
In addition to safety, the video solutions can also be used to monitor the storage area to identify spillage and overflow and send an alert to the concerned to reduce the loss. Again, this finds a use in chemical and pharma companies to ensure that the ingredients are not wasted.
