Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), Managing Director, NVS Reddy, said bus bays, auto bays and e-vehicle bays would be established at metro stations in a month.
All measures, including parking arrangements, were being taken up to ensure hassle-free journey for passengers, he said, announcing that on-street parking facility will be arranged at stations very shortly.
He appealed private property owners owning over 1,000 square yards or above in a radius of 100 to 200 metres from a station to partner with HMRL to establish exclusive parking spaces.
“They can operate on their own or hand over the property to HMRL,” said Reddy.
Addressing mediapersons at Ameerpet Interchange Station, he said stern action would be initiated on passengers, who break rules and behave inappropriately.
There are 64 surveillance cameras at each station, besides four in each coach of a train. A few passengers, who were drunk and trying to board metros, were identified at a few stations. Since this was the second day of operations, they were let off with a warning, he said.
