Mancherial: Leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mancherial unit on Friday met authorities of Mancherial municipality, seeking better sanitation measures in the wake of outbreak of viral fevers.
The leaders and activists of the party, led by BJP Mancherial Assembly Constituency’s in-charge Verabelli Raghunath Rao, submitted a letter to the authorities requesting them to take steps to improve sanitation in the town. In the written application, they urged officials to carry out fogging to deal with the menace of mosquitoes and to create a dumpyard for dumping garbage.
The leaders said viral fevers, caused due to unclean surroundings, were claiming many lives. They cited deaths of four members of a family belonging to Sri Srinagar in the town.
