Hyderabad: Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF), the country’s only dedicated platform working for the cause of para sportspersons and driven by India’s Asian Championship medallist Aditya Mehta, presented physically disabled persons with various prosthetics and sports equipment at Inside Out restaurant, Jubliee Hills on Tuesday.
The presentation ceremony, held for the eighth time, was an event solely dedicated for the benefit of the immensely talented persons who were held back because of their various disabilities.
Presentations worth Rs 30 lakh were given away by Regina Cassandra and Shilpa Reddy who had been associated with this organisation as a trustee since its inception in 2013.
List of athletes: Madhu Bagri – 1.5 lakh for Asian Para Cycling Championships 2018; Divij Shah -1.5 lakh for Asian Para Cycling Championships 2018, Balachandar Subramanian -25 Thousand for Sri Lanka Open Wheel Chair Tennis Tournament; Girish Sharma -75 Thousand for 1st Fazza Para Badminton Tournament, Dubai; Anand Kumar -75 Thousand for 1st Fazza Para Badminton Tournament, Dubai; Sonal Patel -1.5 lakh for Para Table Tennis World Championship 2018; Bhavina Patel -1.5 lakh for Para Table Tennis World Championship 2018; Indrajeet Pandey – Rs 4 lakh – Sports Wheelchair; Jagwinder Singh – Rs 3 lakh – Cycle; Dileep – Rs 3 lakh – Artificial limb, Abu Hubaida– Felicitation for winning 3 medals at 1st Fazza Para Badminton Tournament, Dubaiand Gopichand – Rs 7.5 lakh – Artificial limbs were the presentations made at the event.
The poster launch of Aditya Mehta Foundation’s signature Infinity Ride 2018 took place. It will help raise funds for the country’s top para-athletes that is going to take off from Manali and will conclude at Shimla on August 15. “We look forward to seeing all the enthusiastic cyclists at these Prelude in Hyderabad, Kolkata & Ahmedabad” said Aditya Mehta.
