Dialogue writer Abburi Ravi gained a lot of popularity for the lines he penned for films such as Bommarillu, Athidhi, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam, Kick, Mr Perfect, Panjaa, Yevadu, Kerintha, Cheekati Rajyam, Oopiri, Goodachari and others. Also, Bommarillu fetched him a Nandi Award.
The latest news is that director Adivi Sai Kiran is introducing the writer as an actor, and he will be seen playing the role of Ghazia Baba, a terrorist in the movie Operation Gold Fish (OGF).
Sai Kiran has directed films like Vinayakudu, Village Lo Vinayakudu and Kerintha. Produced on Vinayakudu Talkies, OGF is based on true incidents around which an imaginary story has been woven. Aadi Saikumar is playing the role of NSG commando Arjun Pandit. Airtel 4G model Sasha Chettri, Karthik Raju, Parvateesham, Nithya Naresh, Manoj Nandam, Krishnudu, Anish Kuruvilla, Rao Ramesh and Ramajogayya Sastry are playing key roles.
The first look of Abburi Ravi’s character in the movie was unveiled by Trivikram Srinivas recently. He said, “I am happy that Abbu (Abburi Ravi) is getting introduced in a villainous role. He and I studied together. He has always been my favourite friend. I am sure that the film will be a success.
I wish that director Sai Kiran will earn a very good name for himself with this flick. Even after Abburi Ravi becomes busy as an actor, I would say that he shouldn’t stop writing for movies. So many writers stopped writing after becoming actors and I hope Ravi doesn’t do that.”
Abburi Ravi said, “I am very happy that Trivikram has unveiled my look in Operation Gold Fish. It was he who introduced me to the film industry, as a writer, and I thank him for that. I hope the audience will like me in the movie.”
This film is crowd-funded by technicians and so, is produced by Pratibha Adivi, Katta Asish Reddy, Keshav Uma Swaroop, Padmanabha Reddy, Garry BH, Satish Degala and others who are part of the technical crew.
